The Detached Youth Project is a North East Peace III funded project delivered by the NI Youth Forum in partnership with BNL Productions, RG Consultants and Xplore Outdoors.
The Detached Youth Project will provide a pool of trained facilitators/youth workers to work with detached young people across the North East cluster area. It will provide tailored, dedicated resources, and youth workers will provide opportunities for detached young people to engage in peace building work.
The local areas that will participate in the project are Dhu-Varren, Simon Community (Coleraine), Bushmills, Ballycastle, Craigyhill/Antville, Dixon Park (Larne), Harryville, Dunclug, Cloughmills, Loughguile, Limivady Town and Dungiven.
The Legacy of the Project will be young people re-engaged in communities and across communities, improved levels of trust and tolerance amongst project participants,
increased awareness, understanding and appreciation of other communities or cultures and development of skills in leadership, peace building and negotiation.
