Today, Rebekah from our staffing team had the privilege of presenting at the AFC conference on preventing LGBTQ Youth Homelessness held in Parma, Italy.
Co-facilitating with Maddox from @aliforneycenter , Rebekah put forward NIYF’s youth leadership model of practise by sharing the work of our Executive Committee and the other ways we champion youth leadership in our services and delivery so to better the promotion of youth voice in Northern Ireland.
She asked attendees to reflect and comment on:
How do (or would) they implement youth leadership in their own organisations? what are the potential barriers to youth led work? How would you overcome issues in order to promote youth voice?Thank you to @aliforneycenter for hosting us at such an amazing event.
