International Women’s day
Join the Northern Ireland Youth Forum to celebrate International Women’s day 2013. We’re inviting people of all ages and genders to join us in our Berry Street offices for a day of solidarity, education and fun on Saturday 2nd March, 10am-3.30pm.
We have a full programme of workshops and activities planned to help participants explore the role of Women in Northern Ireland. From discussions about the Suffrage movement to crafting banners and sashes for the march through Belfast on Friday 8th March, there’s something to suit everyone!
Introduction to Suffrage: A really interesting workshop looking at the suffrage movement in NI and the women who led the way in fighting for the vote.
Am I a feminist? Are we afraid to be feminist? A good healthy discussion about what a feminist looks like!
Banners & Sashes Design and make your own banner or placard with a personalised message and the opportunity to make your own rosette for International Women’s Day.
Lunch will be provided.
