NI Youth Forum is delighted to launch the findings from Your Voice, Our Future, a youth-led research findings exploring the priorities, experiences and views of young people across Northern Ireland.

Funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs Reconciliation Fund, the project has supported young people to lead their own research and create opportunities for young people’s voices to be heard by those making decisions that affect their lives.

Research created by young people, for young people

At the heart of the project is the Our Voices group – young people who have worked together to design and develop the Your Voice, Our Future Survey.

The survey gathered the views and experiences of young people aged 11–25 from across Northern Ireland, exploring three key areas:

  • Youth Priorities
  • Youth Participation
  • Community Issues

Join us for the launch

We are bringing together young people, decision-makers, youth and community organisations and others interested in youth participation to hear the findings directly from the young people involved.

The event will be an opportunity to:

  • Hear about the Our Voices project and its youth-led approach to research
  • Discover the key findings and themes from the Your Voice, Our Future Survey
  • Hear directly from the young people who designed and delivered the research
  • Explore the priorities and recommendations identified by young people
  • Consider how the findings can help inform policy, services and future decision-making
